Allison Janney

AllisonAllison Brooks Janney (born November 19, 1959)[2] is an American actress. Her performances on screen and on stage were a highlight of her career that spanned three decades. Janney was nominated for two Tony Awards and has been recognized with the Academy Award as well as an Academy Award and a British Academy Film Award. Born in Boston and was raised in Dayton, Ohio, Janney earned a grant to study in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art following having graduated from Kenyon College. Janney earned credit for several small and rare film and television appearances throughout the years. Her breakthrough character as C. J. Cregg in the NBC show The West Wing (1999-2006) brought her four Primetime Emmy Awards. She was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2014 for Outstanding Guest Actress in the lead in a drama Series, for playing Margaret Scully's character on Masters of Sex. She is most famous for her character Bonnie Plunkett.
