Alison Maria Krauss, born July 23, 1971 is an American singer and musician. Her career began in the music industry in her early years, as she was a mere 10 years young. She signed with Rounder Records in 1985 and recorded her first self-titled album on the label in the year 1987. In addition, she was invited to the group Alison Krauss Union Station where she is still performing. Then, in 1989, her first solo album debuted together with them.
